I've had the side off of the tower & am confident of doing the master/slave settings. You don't need to but... personally I'd take the IDE lead out of the old one so I cannot accidentally wipe the old drive by mistake. Then once the new one is up and running plug in the old one and transfer files.

Got a new XP, but can't transfer files from my 98SE
But somehow, he can only work in cmd prompt to transfer files. Problem with cmd prompt is that he has to transfer files to a temp direct on the root C drive Question is, will iomega zip drive work in XP?
